Most of it were just 1 or 2 minutes experiments. This year I have set myself to complete some songs and ‘release’ them as an EP through Bandcamp. And it has been in a success, in terms of finally finishing something. You can listen to these 5 songs for free and if you like them you can buy them for only $5.

My (one-man) band is called The Marshall McLuhans and the EP is called global village. More info on the official Marshall McLuhans website!

Chalices of the past – 2Rude Not much is known about this artist except for the fact he is from York (United Kingdom). I’ve discovered this lo-fi chiptune producer through the blalock playlists. Although the songs are very raw and overpowered you can still hear very melodic tunes coming through. You can checkout or buy his first album here. (When you buy the album you get a great cover of R. Kelly’s Ignition thrown in for free).
Eastern Conference Champions – Akustics
These two guys and one girl have been at it for about six years now and after making a few loud records they have decided to make an EP containing only acoustic songs. With these acoustic versions you can clearly hear how talented they are and that the music they make is simply beautiful. Get the EP here. (They will release a full length album at the end of April!)
Passion Pit – Manners
Every song on this album is a true wall of sound. The amount of layers are amazing and every time I listen to this album I have a new favorite song. Also, I like the idea of Passion Pit. Just one guy starting out in his attic creating great songs and landing a record deal in the process. Check it out!

Description: The band split up in 2004. Too bad because the music they made is great.
